Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella was born as a Dominican friars’ convent in Florence, Italy in 1221. Since then, we select nature’s finest ingredients to give life to authentic, beauty-seeking routines for the home and the body.
Come to any of our stores or shop online our newest Eau de Parfums, Eau de Colognes, soaps, candles and skincare and bath products. The historical location, of Via Della Scala 16, Florence and also the very first operational site for the Maison, it is today a boutique museum where history brings alive the magic with care, savoir-faire, elegance and we are committed to preserve, and evolve, a heritage like no other.

Yet another fabulous experience with the lovely sales staff at this iconic boutique, the products have always been amazing, and the service level amazing, it was busy on our recent visit, however we were made to feel welcome and as soon as someone was available they helped us with our purchases, I adore my new candle and love these products!

As a tourist, I wanted to visit the original perfumery, but since many other tourists upload photos without specifying the branch, it's confusing. This is NOT the original pharmacy; it's just a retail outlet. My husband and I arrived Sunday afternoon, and there was a sign on the door saying she'd be back in 5 minutes. We were there for almost 10 minutes, and the saleswoman didn't return. The strange thing is that during that time, at least five other people arrived looking for the original perfumery, and when the saleswoman finally arrived, she just said, "Train station! Train station!" when we asked for directions to where we actually wanted to go. This place has the brand's products, but not the "museum" many of us were looking for. For more information, those who want to visit the original perfumery/pharmacy should go to Via Della Scalla 16. Search for it on Google as Farmacia di Santa Maria Novella.

The lady working there was super nice and friendly. We took forever choosing our perfumes because they all smelled amazing, and she was so patient and knowledgeable. She was also incredibly sweet with my dog, which made the experience even better. Unfortunately, we didn’t get her name, but she truly made our visit memorable. Definitely recommend stopping by!
